Appearance
A nice shade of brown, but one of the cloudiest beers I have seen along with
sediment. This beer is obviously a bottle-conditioned one and is not terribly old.
The appearance score was held back by the extreme cloudiness. Head is a light
tan, rocky and decent in duration.
Cloudy amber red. Yeast in solution provides
solids, beer doesn't claim to be bottle conditioned but does encourage the drinker
to store beers which tells me to give this example a little latitude. Head is
expressive and rocky.

Aroma
Awesome aroma, good strength. The aroma reveals you are in for a treat. Very
complex with sweetness, citrus such as lime, chocolate, spice, and a lot more
that's nice !
Malty and subtly sweet. Hints of fruit are melon, lemon peel, and
cherry. Spiciness as well is a back-tone. Soft overall for similar beers but very well
balanced and crisp.

Palate
Nice creamy mouth feel. Very sweet, but not syrupy. A nice level of sweet for an
ale. Some of the citrus comes through, as well as spiciness and chocolate tones
in a complex fashion. A wonderful flavor.
Silky and grabbing. Very nice blend of
flavors with requisite sweetness. Soft in the bitter department but this ale has
backend mature flavors throughout.

Finish
The caramel malt sweetness and chocolate tones grow in intensity and some
nutty flavors awaken. Still full, complex, and delicious. Hops are present but this is
not a bitter beer, rather a nicely balanced one, with this bottle falling a bit on the
sweet side.
Very good creamy finish, with hoppiness becoming more
pronounced. Supports each attribute that precedes it.

Synopsis
One of the finest ales period. Maybe sometimes worst in color, it is spectacular in
everything else. It is worth noting that being bottle conditioned the flavor and color
can be "adjusted" by the drinker based on how long YOU age this one. If you must
have strong hoppy bitterness you will need to catch this one well less than three
months old. I prefer exceeding three months- a subdued hop flavor is still present
but does not override the array of additional flavors. Judge for yourself on the
aging. If you like ales, there is some level of aging that will make this one pleasing
for you.
Quality all-around with the exception of the pour. Cloudy with solids in
solution, but don't be fooled, this ale is one to store and appreciate later, but it is
still great right off the shelf.
