Summer Teeth Lager Beer
Baltika Lager Beer
Labrador Lager
Crisp, unfiltered, golden Kellerbier
Columbus Brewing Co., Columbus, OH
Appearance
A lmedium brownish gold, lightly effervescent, and a fair amount of cloudiness
per the "Keller" unfiltered definition. Head is slightly off-white in color, short in
height and duration, and the lacing on the glass is light as well.
A nice "Keller"
golden with a short off-white head typical of the style. Expected cloudiness is
present but not excessive.

Aroma
Strong aroma for a lager, has a lemon and lime fruit along with light grains,
wheat, and mild hops in the background.
Nice aroma with some ale qualities.
Fruity and malty, a well-rounded full bodied lager.

Palate
Smooth drinking with very light carbonation, a mild lemon and lime citrus sweet,
and a pleasant grainy flavor.
A little creamy, a little sweet, and plenty of grain. A
nice mouthfeel for the lager style with some hop bitters cutting in at the right time.

Finish
The graininess takes over the drivers seat here as this beer picks up some
strength. Along with the grains there is a mild wheat. The lemon and lime citrus
doesn't vanish but takes on a more tangy essence and a mild lemon peel bitter.
This lager beer wraps up with a smooth and dry hoppy finish.
A nice dry bitter hop
presentation and the acid comes through nicely proportional to the sweetness of
the malt.

Synopsis
A nice summertime lager beer. This has more zest and complexity than many
lagers available. Overall on the lighter side but a tasty way to wind down the
summer.
Impressively true to style. My favorite from the Columbus Brewing Co.
thus far. This is a lager that could have wide appeal and make Columbus, OH
proud !
