Appearance
Brownish gold in color, a lustrous copper when held to a light, with mild
cloudiness. Head is moderate in height, light beige in color, with an airy foamy
creaminess. Leaves light silky lacing on the glass.
A cloudy reddish brown ale that is moderately carbonated. The head is a fluffy
beige. An unassuming presentation from a solid brewery.

Aroma
Decent strength, an IPA-like hop predominates followed by a tangy orange and
lime citrus tone.
Bold spicy hop in a lighter style ale. Peppery with plenty of
orange, lemon, and lime citrus, and salt. More of an IPA approach.

Palate
A little crisp, a little creamy, overall a clean but slightly thin feel. Initially has a
lighter malt and light IPA-like hop, thin but thirst quenching.
Think of a watered down IPA but in sort of a good way. This brew is purposely
designed to be soft and thirst quenching and it is. Very hoppy for flavor but toned
down relative to the rest of the brew.

Finish
A smooth transition, the palate flavors grow but only a little, and the IPA style hop
tones pick up some but stay well controlled. Very balanced, probably to a fault,
as that limits its boldness of character.
Unique, a hoppy brew that isn't dry. Very drinkable and versatile. Not overly
complex, but a different experience.

Synopsis
A pretty good appearance and a thirst-quenching presentation of an ale. Light
malt and hop, basically a two note brew. Not bad but not as exciting as I would
have liked. The components tended to blend too well, with some cancelling out
of bold flavors.
Something to appeal to a larger audience. Its light, it's thin, which some may
want. Stone is capable of doing big beers but this isn't one. I can't rave about it
nor penalize it for trying to be unique.
