Basically a marinade, this will yield a tasty and versatile brisket.  Very simple, even by bachelor standards.

12 oz. Dark Lager
½ Cup Ketchup
1 Pkg. Dry Onion Soup Mix
½ Cup Brown Sugar
*1 Large Beef Brisket (3 to 4 lbs.)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees (F).  Mix, beef, beer, ketchup, onion soup mix, and brown sugar.  Pour solution over meat
in a covered skillet with the fat side facing up.  Bake for 3 to 3 ½ hours until tender.  Remove from skillet and let rest for
5 mins.  Slice and serve with pan juices.

*BRISKETS MAY VARY IN SIZE JUST TRY TO KEEP RATIO INTACT

Pan juices may also be slightly reduced by simmering in a low saucepan to produce gravy.

Reserve of pan juice
1 tsp. Flour
1 Tbsp. Orange Juice
¼ tsp. Ground Ginger

Combine liquids in simmering sauce pan.  Whisk in flour, continue to keep solution moving until reduced by a third.
