Appearance
A pale, evenly cloudy yellowish orange, effervescent, white head that is airy,
bubbly, and tall, impressive for the Saison ale style, long lasting and light lacing.
Large puffy white head to a semi-cloudy gold. A good looking brew that doesn't
mystify but is still good in all attributes.

Aroma
Nice overall strength, has the expected peppery spiciness and grains along with
some citrus - basically lime and apple - and some floral tones.
Floral and honey sweetness over a peppery spiciness. Simple and upfront with a
spirit of wheat and the Saison farmhouse ale style.

Palate
A cool water essence with some citrus sweet and the expected peppery spice
edge.
Medium creamy cut by a coriander spice. A little thin in texture but full in
taste. Mild saltiness and slightly dry.

Finish
All of the palate flavors carry through but the peppery spice moves to the forefront.
Picks up a nice earthy quality while still maintaining some carbonation zing.
Some saltiness picks up and lends more complexity to a straight forward
approach of a Saison ale. The sweetness recedes and the floral tones remain.

Synopsis
A very fine example of a Saison ale, probably closer to what an actual farmhouse
ale would have tasting like more than any other example I have had to date. This
has the expected peppery spice notes expected for a high temperature
fermented ale, along with lime and apple citrus "regular" ale qualities. These
qualities are not overdone leaving no question that you are drinking a Saison ale.
A fair assessment of the style. A salt and peppery brew that would pair well with
food. Easy drinking and a little mild, I would have preferred more punch but this
doesn't disappoint overall.
