Appearance
A nice medium amber copper tone color. A bit of cloudiness, head was a light
tan, short in height, only slightly rocky, and very short in duration. Lacing on the
glass was okay.
Nice reddish-copper tone, with a dissipating head and minor
cloudiness. Reasonably good lacing on the glass. Brew is sturdy in consistency.
Nice all-around.

Aroma
Moderate to strong aroma presentation, mostly pear scents with lighter orange
and lemon citrus. All mix together for a unique sour component. Some spicy
hops are present in the background.
Pleasant fruity and honey tones. Clover,
sweet, and full of character. Delicate with its sweetness, not a caramel or toasted
quality. Fresh and light, well maintained. A little bread, reminiscent of springtime.

Palate
Very light creaminess and the sweet citrus predominates along with an
interesting zesty sourness which is actually quite pleasant.
Delicate and
controlled. Expressive, yet muted in comparison to other ales we would put in
this category. Sweet without distraction in the way of hop or roast. A little salt, a
little tang...flavorful.

Finish
Creaminess picks up just a little. A lighter ale presentation appropriately places
this in the amber ale category. Subdued hops chime in along with the lemon and
orange citrus which carries through. Hops pick up strength, just a tad, at the very
end.
Sweet and light and stays on the tongue. Soft honey, though probably not in
solution is the memorable flavor. The smallest of small bite helps balance like a
well composed farmhouse ale.

Synopsis
Zesty, complex, lemon and lime citrus, in an interestingly pleasant "sour" mix. On
the light side overall and on the sweet side of the sweet/hoppy scale. Tangy,
light, and complex.
What a nice ale. I think Two Brothers Brewery made this beer
then thought of a name for it...French Style Country Ale...yep, that'll work. A clever
well-balanced ale that shares characteristics with many specific styles and softly
comes into its own. Very nice.
This French-style country ale is deep amber in color. With a toasty, sweet
caramel start, it finishes with just enough hops to clean off the palate.
Bon-Appetit !
